What is a Postpartum Doula?
Whether you're a first-time mom, or a seasoned mom, a postpartum doula can be a useful support person to see you through the transition from pregnancy to newborn life!
Postpartum doulas are non-medical professionals who provide in-person (or virtual) support, focusing on addressing the emotional, social, mental, and physical changes that occur in postpartum.
What do I do?
My role as a postpartum doula
As a postpartum doula, my job is to nurture you so that you can nurture your baby! My support is tailored to meet your needs: from holding your baby while you shower, to making a nutritious meal in your kitchen, light house keeping, or helping with the older child(ren). I can assist with newborn care, and refer you to other postnatal professionals in the area, if needed. Most of all, I am a listening ear to support you with processing all the emotions and questions that come with postpartum life.

When a child is born, so is a mother. With this new identity comes questions and responsibilities that traditionally and historically weren't performed alone. As a mother of 5 children, and with experience helping family and friends, I can help you transition confidently into this new role!

I currently provide support during daytime hours between 7am - 7pm. My rate is $30/hr.
